Reviewer notes

Single-purpose, local-first MV3 extension.

Football Spoiler Shield hides football result spoilers on sites explicitly chosen by the user.

Purpose

Mask football scorelines, result words, and spoiler media on user-selected websites.

Permissions

activeTab, scripting, storage, and optional host permissions. There are no default host permissions.

Data flow

All page scanning runs in the browser. Settings and enabled hostnames are stored locally.

Chrome reviewer

The manifest has no default host permissions. Optional site access is requested only after the user chooses to keep spoiler hiding on a site.

Marketing reviewer

Listing and link-preview assets show the real job: hide football scores until the user watches. They do not use official marks, league logos, club logos, fixtures, tickets, or broadcaster artwork.

Native vision reviewer

Desktop and mobile landing screenshots are rendered in a separate Chrome profile. The share card is 1200 by 630 pixels, and promo tiles are checked for readable text and nonblank product imagery.

Test path

Load the unpacked extension, open a football news or fixture page, click Try once, then enable the site if the masking behavior is desired. Use Reveal for 15 seconds to inspect hidden text.

Media asset path

Use docs/cws/assets/store-icon-128.png, five 1280 by 800 screenshots, promo-small-440x280.png, and promo-marquee-1400x560.png for the Chrome Web Store draft. Use https://football.getgeofix.xyz/assets/social-card.png for link previews.

Native browser evidence

The site render gate opens Chrome with a fresh profile, captures desktop and mobile pages, checks image loading, horizontal overflow, simple hero copy, playable spoiler controls, and keyboard activation.

Affiliation

The product is independent and unofficial. It does not use official tournament marks, logos, tickets, fixture data, or broadcaster data.
